Poetry Contest
Go out for a walk and take a camera, smartphone or tablet with you. Snap a picture of something interesting and write a poem about it when you get home. Post the photo along with the poem.
Street photography rules state you can photograph anything on public property. If you walk on private property, you will need permission. Obviously, you will obey the rules of courtesy too. If anyone else appears in your photo in a recognisable form, you should ask their permission before posting their picture in this contest. Poems can be in any form, rhymed, formal, free etc. The poem must be recognisably inspired by the photograph and the poem and photo must be composed on the same day.
The contest winner will win half of the prize pool which is based on the number of entries. The second and third place winners will each share the remaining prize pool. The prize pool is currently 68.00 member dollars. There are only 1 spots still open. If all open spots are used the prize pool will be 72.00 member dollars. In this contest at least 2 submissions must be made for the vote to begin.
