NaPoWriMo poem a day contest
Poetry Contest
April month is around the corner and that means the challenge to write a poem a day will start on 1 April and will end on 30 April.
Anyone may enter the challenge. The purpose of the contest is to write one poem per day.
We may open a book for our own work for the whole month on 31 March with a prologue to tell everybody what your theme will be if any. The actual poems for the month may only be posted from the 1st to the 30th. If there was an unforeseen problem that prevents to post your poem on a specific day, you may enter two poems the following day or as soon as you can. Apart from the prologue, there must be no more or less than thirty poems for the total month.
Poets can develop their own theme or make use of the National Poetry Month's themes that will be provided by the organizer each day, and everyone can decide to follow the National challenges or their own.
If there is any uncertainty or something not mentioned here we can discuss it in the contest forum
A suggestion, that works very well, is to fan new entrants if not already fanned in order to keep up with their posts and save us the time to read all entries on the closing date for the voting.
The contest winner will win half of the prize pool which is based on the number of entries. The second and third place winners will each share the remaining prize pool. The prize pool is currently 130.00 member dollars. There are 5 spots still open. If all open spots are used the prize pool will be 180.00 member dollars. In this contest at least 2 submissions must be made for the vote to begin.
