Pay It Forward
Poetry Contest
In this contest, you are asked to pay it forward to someone you admire, has inspired you, whose work you enjoy, and so on. It could be a teacher, a friend, a neighbor, family member, a writer, artist, a historical figure, or someone on FanStory. These are just a few examples. This person MUST have been born or lived from 1720 to the present time.
There is no requirement for the type or length of your poem. However, it must describe, give examples, and allow us to understand how important this person is, or was, to you.
The poem should be positive in nature with NO reason for any kind of warning for language, etc. The same applies to any image you may choose.
G rated only.
Do not use a full name or photo that would indicate your identity since it is a blind contest. In that case, use a first name only. The image could be something that represents them; it does not have to actually be them.
The contest winner will win half of the prize pool which is based on the number of entries. The second and third place winners will each share the remaining prize pool. The prize pool is currently 20.00 member dollars. There are 14 spots still open. If all open spots are used the prize pool will be 90.00 member dollars. In this contest at least 2 submissions must be made for the vote to begin.
Deadline: Contest is closed. Deadline was Wednesday, March 11, 2020.
