Transitioning
"Adios! Adieu! Good-by!" by Catherin Elizabet Belle
In life's journey we face
Rocky twisting roads leading astray,
Yet, we stand firm in grace
As we traipse natures' floral array
Bound for the golden place.

As high in the pale blue sky
Sheltering the emerald green pines
Resting on a cool veranda
The lady of years sips chilled wines
Pondering years gone by,

In life's journey we face
Rocky twisting roads leading astray,
Yet, we stand firm in grace
As we traipse natures' floral array
Bound for the golden place.

When a lone saline drop leaks
In silence down a pale but rosy cheek,
Lips slowly lift at the corners.
As silent laughter dispels the meek
Demeanor of the mourners.

A roar of heavenly delight echoes
The bevy of guardian angels welcoming
The mischievous golden ager
Dancing unceremoniously thru dazzling
Stardust to the cherubs' choir.

As life's journey nears the end
A pebbled terrain turns to green solace
With a vibrant stance of time's race,
She journeys beyond blue clouds of lace
Bound for the golden place.

As High in the pale blue sky
Sheltering the acorn bearing pines
Resting on the cool lanai
The lady of years sips angelic wines
Reveling at the serenity nigh.
