"Central Casting Security Guard" by Mark Valentine

The customer began to slip a mini-bottle of Jack Daniels into his coat pocket.

“Go ahead make my day.” The security guard’s gun was drawn.

“Whoa, chill, Pretend Cop. I’m putting it back. No harm, no foul. I’ll walk out now.”

“Trash doesn’t walk out, it gets taken out.”

“Dude, you got some serious Dirty Harry issues. I don’t want no trouble.”

Just then, the customer, a neo-Nazi who had been on his way to the synagogue, abruptly pulled out his Glock 9.

Shots fired.

Body falls.

And then the voice of the security guard.

“Clean up on Aisle 5.”
