What I hope for in the new year
"My Vision of My Life for 2020" by Marilyn Lou Berry
The bitter has passed away
leaving a sweetness that I hope
will be as a tributary
into the new year, new decade.
I shall sing new songs
and dance with the angels of the waltz
upon the shores of a destiny
I shall attempt to forge
with eager participation in a more green life
respecting our planet's plea for healing.
With joy and love I shall pay forward kindnesses
that had been given me without expectations.
To be more fully engaged in life's wonders,
both in the seeking and the experiencing
is my final, most intoxicating goal for 2020.

My Vision is 20/20 writing prompt entry

Writing Prompt
As we step into the year 2020, we can approach it with goals, ambitious plans, or just focus on something we would like to get done. Please write a free verse poem about something you plan to accomplish in the year 2020. Clean entries please.

I hope this contest qualifies for the 20 prompt that FanStory has encouraged... :)
