A 4th of July Parade?
"The Day we Celebrate"
by forestport12
The ticker tape showered from skyscrapers. Crowds packed the streets. Heroes stood on floats, fire engines, and limousines.
It was the fourth of July in NYC. Leading the parade were the blue-clad nurses and white-robed doctors who survived the greatest pandemic our country has ever endured. Many of them held pictures of co-workers who died in battle. Tears mingled with faces of joy.
Crowds chanted, horns blared, and everyone from rooftops to windows cheered.
A new day was dawning.
Author Notes
I just wanted to share our vision and hope for the future.
