Excellent
Not yet exceptional. When the exceptional rating is reached this is highlighted
A pandemic
"All over the world" by Colin Lowley
Across the world through another day
children are playing their toys just lay
order and chaos merge, then become one
look out of the window the fight has begun.

The virus finds another then they are gone
a friend or acquaintance! What's going on?
Is this worse than war? Never known before
when will it end? Each day another bend.

The woke are in hiding no one to blame
our governments are trying, trying in vane
to stop it spreading and to slow its path
victory soon or it will have the last laugh.

Countries are in lockdown except for the few
doctors and nurses even Chemists too
when this is all over please give them a rise
never to forget what was seen with our eyes.

The family are important, more now than before
Communication, not silence as we all explore
how are they doing? Can they surely all cope?
Give them some comfort, give them some hope.

How long will this last as we remember the past
that jolly beer down the pub the last bell and a gasp
no fly away holidays just our garden at home
until we meet again and set free to roam.
