A reflective letter to myself
"The Time is Right" by Tina Crute
So many questions
roll around in my head.
Do I try to answer
or ignore them instead?

My mind's in a tizzy
extra busy, wondering what to do.
The world's quickly changing
and not for the best.
How have I made it through?

It's all because of my
Saviour's love
I've known Him since
I was age nine.
But do I tell everyone
I happen to meet,
about this friend divine?

What about those
who don't even know
Jesus can give them peace?
Can I sleep at night,
just feeling right
when someone has a need?

The answer I think is
I am on the brink of
a life change for the better.
I cannot keep quiet
nor do I dare fight it,
the right answer to my letter.

Put up or shut up.
Know what I mean?
It's time to either
show what I know
or hide what's inside.
There is no in-between.

The time is right
to jump in the fight
and show the world
they're missing out,
without a doubt
on the greatest love
and guiding light.

How do I know?
Because Jesus showed up
and He shut up sin.
His blood paid the price,
our sin's sacrifice
Now we can have Him within!

Tell it now! Tell it now!
If you love your brother,
your sister, each other
Tell it, tell it, tell it now.

The world needs to hear
what we hold so dear.
Tell it now!

Author Notes
It's late. Ever since I stopped watching tv, two weeks ago, I have had more time for self reflection. What kind of a person am I in this dark world? Do I tell others about Jesus before it's too late? Not everyone had the benefit of a Christian home. Do I keep this good news to myself? This letter is a reflection on me only, and my desire to share Jesus' love much better than I have been.
