my happy place
"To Write" by equestrik

I come to the barn to write,
Amidst the soft scent of pine,
And the stronger musk of the horses,
Here is where I find that all is well in the world.

Their movements rustle the sawdust,
And their rhythmic munching on oats and hay,
Tells of contentment and peace,
And that all is well in their world.

I sigh and let go of some angst held onto too long,
As the peace of the barn settles round me.
My thoughts flow and ramble away,
For a time, all is well in my world.
