I have been writing for sometime, but until now I did a lot of it in seclusion. Glad for the information that led me here. I love this literary outlet to express the deep things of the heart....and the not so deep!

He is an accomplished poet and is currently at the #10 spot on this years rankings.

He is also an active reviewer and is holding the #1 spot on the top ranked reviewer list.

A poem
"How do gymnasts...?" by royowen

How do those gymnasts, learn how to tumble?
With nary a slip, never a stumble.
And how does a clown learn to be silly,
learning to juggle, boiling the billy?

And how does a preacher learn how to talk,
on verbal tightropes or walking the walk?
Then how does a burglar learn how to steal,
to lighten his fingers, or do it by feel?

Then how does a poet learn how to write,
by having a soul and a heart that is right?
But that's not enough, they still might do wrong,
here's hoping they'll try, write language that's strong.
Whatever the poem, I hope they would try,
ideal's good purpose, not make people cry.

I can't write fiction, but I can write songs,
I can't play football, but I can right wrongs.
I can plant seedlings, and water some weeds,
but God can change hearts, grow flowers from seeds.

Author Notes
Just a silly poem, there could be a hidden meaning, do you think? I was a footballer, and an all-round sportsman, but then, that was then, this is now.

Thanks for reading. Roy Owen.
