I may or may not be confused
"Who are you?" by Quiet Guy

How dare you ask me such a deep question!

I must admit that you caught me off guard for a moment, just a brief second.

How can I possibly say when I change by the day?

Will I answer you now then regret it later if my answer has changed?

Please understand that this is a rather unusual case.

What I mean is that I could be honest and still lie to your face.

Who I am is who I believe myself to be.

Yet who I was is who I once believed was me.

My current belief versus what I used to think.

What will I end up believing?

I suppose in time we'll see.

I must admit that the question you have asked is maddeningly deep.

If I had to keep it brief, I have no clue.

All I can do is tell you who I am and hope it remains true.
