Teen love poem from sounds of the past.
"Teenagers in Love" by Patty Palmer
You are the sunshine of my life.
Turn around, look at me.
Then Tie a yellow ribbon
Around the old oak tree.

Mr. Big Stuff, oh what a night!
You give me that sweet lovin
But then Mama said,
That ain't the way to have fun, son!!

It's hard to be a teenager in love.
Hey there lonely girl, stop and see
This is not a puppy love
Because you belong to me.

Sixteen candles
Makes a lovely sight.
I only have eyes for you
Just the way you look tonight.

Always and forever
I'm stone in love with you,
Although sometimes our moments
Are precious and few.

Love makes the world go round
And we're happy together
You're unforgettable my
Angel in blue jeans, forever.

Love Poem Poetry Contest contest entry

Author Notes
I'm not expecting much from this poem. It said a love poem and I thought most all of the songs we loved back in high school were love songs. I decided to write my poem from song titles. Of course, I had to add words in between titles to make it sound at least kind of okay.
