This work has reached the exceptional level
The right action heals both.
"The Right Thing To Do" by Taminang Therese N
His neighbor has a pet snake,
The snake missed control,
And bites his baby to death,
He was in deep agony,
It was a sad story.

His neighbor went on a hide,
Wondering what will befall him,
He expects a knock on the door,
For cops to take him along,
and tell him his jail term.

Their daughters go to school together,
No fees paid yet for any,
Because of this incident,
Snake owner still in hiding,
Child's owner is still mourning.

After mourning, baby's dad
Goes to pay his girl's fees,
Was told she's one of two left,
The one of his neighbour,
Whose snake killed her baby.

He so pitied the poor child,
Her father in the hiding,
He did pay her own fees,
"No matter what do,
my child is gone forever."

From his hiding place,
Snake owner sneak and tiptoed,
To school he went at last,
And heard from the teacher,
His neighbor paid her fees.

So relieved and so calm,
His strength returned again,
He wondered good men still live,
And go to seek pardon,
I'm sorry, please forgive me.

I've long forgiven you,
No matter what I do,
My child is gone and gone,
Let's journeys together,
Our God will see us through.
