“Your aerobics class is calling

 and you know you need to go.”

“But the rain outside is falling

And it may turn into snow.”

“I am sure you will feel better

If you exercise today,”

“But I don’t like getting wetter,

so at home, I’d rather stay.”

“It’s not like I have to be there

The decision’s up to me.

The times I haven’t gone is rare;

maybe only two or three.”

“You know exercise does matter

It’s imperative you go!”

“It won’t make my belly flatter;

not enough so it will show.”

This debate with Alter Ego

happens every other day.

Still, I’m arguing though I know

She will get the final say.

After class I don’t regret it,

and my knees are glad I went,

"But she’s bossy! Don't you get it?.

Let me have some time to vent."
