something for my special friend
"Waiting At Heaven's Gates"

For us it will be a long awaited date
and then, my arms will be opened wide.
With me standing at those Pearly gates
and waiting for you to be by my side.
Unfortunately, it was time for me to go.
While I'm up there, I will be watching over you.
When you will join me, I do not know
but, I will wait patiently for you to bid life adieu.
Till then, I will sit next to your named star to reminisce
about those times that made our life so great.
Those emotions we shared, created a life of bliss.
It is something together which we came to appreciate.
I truly look forward to spending an eternity with you.
We will take long walks along Heaven's lakeshore.
Then move among the stars and will ride the Milky Way too.
Those thoughts about eternity, turns out to be much more.
Eternity, afterlife or Heaven, it's the place for we soulmates.
We won't look old, or be in pain, never to be sick anymore.
Both of us will be smiling, as you walk through those gates
as we will be together in eternity, forevermore!
Wonderful and blissful thoughts what eternal life
can and will be for the two of us!

Author Notes
It has been quite sometime since I wrote and posted
a poem here on Fanstory.
I composed this for a very special friend of mine.
We have talked about being together for an eternity.
She knows this is for her!
No meter, no syllable but has an abab rhyme scheme.
