I am a fourteen year old who has read thousands of classic books from "Wuthering Heights" to "Of Mice and Men", all of which have inspired me to write my own works. I hope that I will eventually place in a contest, its always been my dream!

She is an accomplished poet and is currently at the #52 spot on this years rankings.

This work has reached the exceptional level
A man left to serve out his punishment he earned on earth.
"Forevermore" by Ella Gott
There is an old cell on a cliff by the sea.
The man inside looks out to the sky,
Dreaming of days when he was free,
Always asking the question, "Why?".

"Why did I live such a self serving life,
And curse the name of my Lord?
Why did I push so many others to strife,
And drown in the poison my jealousy poured?"

No one can hear him, this man in his cell,
There isn't a key, there isn't a lock,
For this is his punishment given by Hell,
The taunting gulls fly round and mock.

The waves drown out his sobs of despair
As they beat the sandy shore,
For this was his burden alone to bear;
To be locked in this cell forevermore.

Author Notes
I don't know how I came up with this, but when I started the first stanza I knew I had to continue. It is about a forlorn man who was very wicked on earth, but in Hell he is given his punishment that he must serve out for the rest of his days.
