faith essay
"I see visions" by flylikeaneagle

'And in the last days it shall be, God declares, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh, and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams..." Acts 2:17 ESV

My daughters noticed people in a Texas field having fun inside the bouncy houses. We approached the strangers and quickly became friends. Monica and Annie played on the equipment with the children. The leaders told me by faith and prayers, they dreamed for a church to be built soon.

We watched the Church of the Nazarene as the crews laid the foundation. Brick by brick and room by room, the church was completed in the fall. Again, the bouncy houses were set up on the land. We joined in the fun. The members invited us to join on Wednesday nights for free food, fellowship, and fun. Monica and Annie enjoyed their new friends, the Bible youth camps, and Vacation Bible Studies. By faith, new members joined. I sang in the third row, back corner during jazz choir. I danced with the music and felt the Holy Spirit's presence.

The leaders started a Bible study with Anne Graham Lotz's God's Story. I was asked to join in. They gave me a new Women's Bible after I told them my Catholic Bible held twelve years of dust in my bookshelf. Our Bible study started with Genesis 1:1-5 -- ESV

"The Creation of the World
1 In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. 2 The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. 3 And God said, "Let there be light," and there was light. 4 And God saw that the light was good. And God separated the light from the darkness. 5 God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And there was evening and there was morning, the first day."

That Thursday night, I went to my daughter's school for PTA. As we walked outside, we noticed a bright, white cross in the dark sky. The white cross followed us home. In the morning, I drove to the copy center. I again saw a bright white cross in the clear blue, Texas sky. On Saturday, Monica and Annie joined me for a trip to McKinney. I taught Yoga and Pilates at the health club as a group fitness instructor. My daughters enjoyed the class too. We spotted three white crosses in the daylight follow us home to Richardson.

As we opened up the pages of God's ancient words, the Bible came alive to us. The three of us continued to see white crosses and visions in the sky. Twice, Jesus appeared to us in the morning sky in white clouds. Monica stated she saw Jesus smile at her. I saw the beautiful crown upon Christ's face. He had cloud eyes that pierced our souls. Another time, I walked near a house where people prayed for their dying Mother. I looked up and spotted Jesus with his healing wings spread out like eagle feathers over this house. I later learned that Jesus promised us -- Psalm 91:4 ESV

"He will cover you with his pinions, and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness is a shield and buckler."

Yes, my daughters and I dream dreams and see visions. Sometimes, I share the stories and
witness that God is good, very good. Know that Jesus loves you and I for the Bible tells us so.
