Family Poem
"McLain" by Shirley McLain
Merry, Merry does not fit
Cancer lifts its ugly head
Loving with all your heart not enough
Always fighting severe mood swings
Incipient disease process
Never never
will it win

Family Alphabet contest entry

Author Notes
My husband has thyroid cancer. He had his thyroid removed a few months ago. The radioactive iodine couldn't be done due to other problems he was experiencing. Finally this Friday it can be taken. In a week he can start back on his thyroid medication. The terrible mood swings will decrease. It's been terrible on all of us, especially him.
