A rhyming loop poem about bad dreams
"Night Terrors" by Josh Walters
I am lost far out at sea
Sea birds make the voyage we
We can't give up we must press on
On our way across this pond
Pond so large can't see the shore
Shore you swore you saw before
Before thoughts of water fogged your mind
Mind you don't drink
Drink yourself blind
Blind we're all unto the wind
Wind you pray will come again
Again you see the solid ground
Ground no humans ever found
Found a pool and drank so deep
Deep into a famished sleep
Sleep from which you quickly wake
Wake with fear and start to shake
Shake from the dream that you just had
Had them before but not that bad
Bad dreams fueled throughout your day
Day which you're now hoping it will stay
Stay with me oh' please don't go
Go put's me right back on that boat
Boat I fear will no more float
Float will I, then from this life
Life of terrors in the night
