Once a lonely child
Sitting on the bridge
Saw a very old man
Coming up the ridge
 
The man's face was grizzled
His hair was gray
He stopped to help the child
Chase the blues away
 
The weapons he used
For such a chase
Were a voice with laughter
And a smiling face
 
A friendship was born
With the stories told
Building a bridge
Tween the young and old

Write a four line, four stanza poem about children and the aged. Method of rhyme, lines 2 and 4 must rhyme in 1st stanza. Lines 2 and 4 in second stanza, etc.
