A declaration of love
"My Hearts Dream" by Brenda Henderson

Walt Disney's Cinderella sang "A dream is a wish your heart makes when you're fast asleep." I wasn't asleep at all when I fell in love with you. It was gentle and calm like my soul finding its way back home.

Just having known you and having shared time and space with you has brought me more joy than I could ever express.

You might wonder why I love you the way that I do. I can only say that it is a choice that I made within myself. It is at the core of both who I am and who I aspire to be.

My love for you, as Professor Henry Higgins would say "...is second nature to me now; like breathing out and breathing in...."

There's no one specific thing that you did or could have done to earn my love for you. Therefore, there's nothing you could ever do to lose it.

Be so happy, my darling, in all that you do and all that you are. I wish for you great joy now and always.

Love of My Life; Joy of My Heart; YOU are My Heart's Dream!

Author Notes
"A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes" is a quote from a Disney classic animated film Cinderella.

The quote from Professor Henry Higgins is taken from the Rogers & Hammerstein's musical "My Fair Lady" as adapted from George Bernard Shaw's Pygmalion. The quote comes from a song sung by Rex Harrison as Professor Henry Higgins and is entitled "Accustomed To Her Face."
