All the reasons why I eat candy
"Best Friend for Life" by Suzanna Ray
Candy is wonderful. Candy is nice. Candy is my only vice.
Candy is dandy, when it comes in a bag. Candy is icky when it gets sticky and melts in your hand.
Candy is yummy when once in your tummy.
Candy is handy, specially when it's free.
Now candy can get pricey when found in a shop,
but just between you and me, I'll always eat candy. I'll never stop.
Candy will be my buddy, my best friend for life.
Candy will sustain me, in serenity or in strife.
I'll always have some candy, somewhere, even if I have to hide it, from my wife.

Author Notes
So who doesnâ??t like candy, even once in a while.
I loved the topic for this poem. Candy has so many rhyming words.
All I had to do, was eat a bag of candy while writing it.
