Luther's Reformation movement
"Fall of the Hammer" by Susan Larson
A theologian named Martin,
Church reform he had a big part in
Things he did deplore,

Author Notes
This is a limerick about the Reformation. I tried to also make it an acrostic, but the words wouldn't work. Martin Luther was born in the Fall (November 10, 1483.) He nailed his 95 theses to the church door in the Fall (October 31,1517) which was the beginning of the Protestant Reformation, which is celebrated on that date.
