Christmas trees and cats are an interesting combination
"Merry Catmas" by Abrushwithhumor
Hours in the attic
Finding tinsel, lights, and balls.
The tree is up and watered,
Now it's time to deck the halls.

I Draped and set the mantle,
Hung the wreath and stockings too.
I began to trim the tree when
You saw me and I saw you.

I hope you'll fail to notice
The shiny decorations.
The ornaments and lights,
So many cat temptations.

I finish up the tree
With some garland and a star.
I go to get a cocktail,
But I don't get very far.

I hear a crash and pop pop pop,
I turn right back around.
A dozen balls are scattered,
Shattered, broken on the ground.

You're missing from your perch,
I call, "Where are you now?"
From deep within my Christmas tree
I heard a soft meow.

The branches start to rustle,
The tree begins to sway.
You reach the star and take a swipe,
The whole thing comes my way.

Now you have me trapped beneath
Our festive Christmas tree.
I tried to decorate the house,
But you've decorated me.
