Chapter 8 of the book Chaos of the Alpha
Aurora fights for her home
"Human Havoc" by Bichon

Wolves are forced to make decisions for the good of the pack when chaos rages through their home, relying on their reluctant Alpha for guidance.

The wolves moved fast, but the humans were even faster. Before they knew it, a group of wolves were being hauled over to cages with chains and leads, each one protesting vigorously. Grief stricken howls filled the clearing as some wolves were shot with darts, instantly collapsing to the ground in a dazed state.

Aurora tried her best. She fastened her jaws on the poles of many hunters and shook her pack members free. But there was always another wolf ensnared and doomed to be taken, she couldn't save them all. Dakota was still free, fighting furiously, but suddenly stopped with gloom reflected in his blue eyes as he caught sight of Crystal being dragged away. Aurora dashed towards her, but it was too late, they were loading Crystal into one of the cages as she howled in protest. The hunters were winning. "Aurora," Dakota yelled "get to the elders cave and help the wolves outside it, we can't let them be taken!" he instructed clearly and Aurora obeyed immediately.

She nearly reached the cave, only a matter of paw steps away when something caught her harshly. It wasn't a hunter, something with sharp teeth had grabbed her neck and was strongly pulling her backwards. She dug her claws into the ground, but it was no use, her attacker was much stronger and wasn't giving up easily. A set of claws ripped into her back as she whimpered with pain, her vision fading in and out of the chaos that surrounded her. There was an evident metallic taste in her mouth as she protested one last time, and the blood on the floor around her was definitely her own. She couldn't even help herself, never mind the other wolves. The last thing she saw before her sight gave up was Lupo, the young pup she has grown to love, being hauled out of the elder cave, screaming with muffled terror. Then everything went black.

Aurora: main wolf, reluctantly training to become the next alpha
Dakota: current alpha, strict but fair leader
Blaze: a shifty wolf who appears dark at heart
Lupo and Tate: mischievous wolf pup brothers
Storm: an old, but wise elder
Crystal: a young and gifted hunter

The book continues with Traitor . We will provide a link to it when you review this below.

Author Notes
Chapter eight already, wooh! Thank you all so much for the help and kind reviews, allowing me to continue posting the story.

As I post this, I am currently in Amsterdam! My mom decided to take me as part of my eighteenth birthday. I have never been, but I am very thankful for the few days away. If there is a lack of reviews, that is the reason, haha. Although I still will have a poem up on Wednesday.
