Anticipating Winters demise
"Spring Comes Soon" by JLR
The morn sun crests a wee bit brighter
rising strong a fighter
temperatures a warmth provider
winter can't deny her
Spring comes soon.

The affair betwixt the sun and moon
makes for the plants to swoon
Daffodils and Iris strain to bloom
tree buds strain to soon boom
Spring comes soon.

Birds building nests to feather a home
on waves of wings they roam
the Red Cardinal flies all alone
chirping an eery moan
Spring comes soon.

Winter sun sets into the night sky
Spring tells winter goodbye
as winter days have gone bye and bye
I never question why
Spring comes soon.

Spring....lovely Spring. writing prompt entry

Writing Prompt
Wrote a poem about the upcoming Spring season. any length or style will do.

Author Notes
Coles Rhythm:
a new style created by Gungalo, a major force here on Fanstory, who has since departed. She passed away in May of 2014.
Syllable count is: 9-6-9-6-3 for each verse.

Rhyme scheme: aaaaR bbbbR ccccR ddddR.
The "R" is a 3-syllable refrain and each should rhyme or repeat the other in every verse

Note: I reside in the south in the Blue Ridge mountains, metaphorically speaking, the deciduous seemingly "boom" as the pollen explodes from the budding cycle.
