Excellent
Not yet exceptional. When the exceptional rating is reached this is highlighted
the destruction of us, the gods.

TWILIGHT OF THE GODS
The Götterdämmerung *
There is no need to bring your resumé
when applying for a job in the post apocalyptic
world. The position depends on how radioactive

you are and how long you can go without
water. No it's not RD- reptile dysfunction -
that's killing the alligators in your alligator farm.

It's most likely something in their diet. Stop
feeding them lawyers and social workers.
Especially social workers on an empty stomach.

we work and pay taxes
we work and die
why work

Oh, what a splendid day now that August is here.
Let's go then you and I down to the beach and the sea
to have some tea with those courteous crustaceans,

crawling across the floors of the oil drenched sand.
We hear the caterwauling of the sea creatures large
and small and know that our sun has had its run and

now in our twilight hour we await the coming of the night.

* The Götterdämmerung is the title of Richard Wagner's last opera
in the Ring cycle. It means the twilight of the gods.

Author Notes
The world destruction of evil in a final cataclysmic battle marked by extreme violence and chaos. Maybe the myth of the destruction of the gods in a final battle with the forces of evil is part of the Germanic psyche.
Pays one point and 2 member cents.
