A Strange Doctor's Visit
"My DNA's What?!"

Zoe thought the ringing in her ears was bad, but now she couldn't even hear sentences properly.
Her DNA was reconstructing itself?
She was more than bewildered. But the expression on the doctor's face looked real.
"How?" her father demanded.
He didn't sound the least bit surprised which confused Zoe even more. He sounded angry. Did he already know about it?
"Well..." The doctor glanced at Zoe, then looked back at her father.
"It's complex," she said.
"The blood tests showed major changes in her chromosomes and her condition could complicate the issue further. I can suggest a new prescription."
Prescription? Zoe thought. Her father set his jaw.
"No."
Medicine for her DNA? Was that real? Zoe wondered. Why would her DNA be re-building itself? It sounded like it was getting ready for war.
