Life Protects Death From Me
"Reaper What You Sow" by Frederick Samson
I thought I saw Death today
So I turned to see it so
But as I twisted it turned away
I missed it, but now I know

It wasn't me who shyed an eye
For my decree I had let go
And let it be, I hide no lie
It was he that set untow

His taunting I felt behind
It's shadow darkened my day
Haunting me, impelled to find
Embarked to impeach the shade

In my peripheral I got a glance
Of a prey somewhat in a chase
Insufferable be, I sought my chance
To take it on face to face

But surprise that was, was not my own
As Death saw fear, and so ran away
What I saw, now to both it's known
The dreads is his as I near my final days
