The root of all kinds of evil.
"Money..."

Now money in one's hand can be, paper, coins or cheques,
it has the power to turn and tame temptation's rock-bound wrecks.
Corrupted hearts won't tarry long, Infection's fever burns,
where once a heart was innocent, a pure one quickly turns.
For money isn't evil, friend, it has no heart or soul.
But certainly can change one's thoughts, resembling blackened coal.
Some people can have lovely souls, and use cash as a prize,
relieving struggles of poor folk, God's grace they realise.
For money isn't evil friend,
it's merely just a way.
It's just a tool, compassion's rule,
promoting mercy's day.

I've heard people say, misquoting scripture, that money is the root of all evil. but read th scripture carefully, that's NOT what it says, it certainly has a corrupting affect, but whose fault is that? The money, or the hands that hold it. But, on the contrary, money can relieve great evil! By being generous to those in need! This is NOT religion, but simply good old fashioned compassion and mercy.
1Timothy 6:10 "For the LOVE of money is the root of all kinds of evil: which while some coveted after they have erred from the faith, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows."
