80 Word Flash Fiction
"No Way" by Suzanna Ray

Home from a demanding and hectic day at work, I collapsed on the sofa. But my stomach was growling, so I struggled to my feet, grabbed my mask, keys and wallet and headed for the nearest deli.
Then I heard the music. Around the corner came a sound truck followed by thousands of people cheering and waving signs. As they passed by, three girls came up to me and gushed. “Isn’t it wonderful! No More Masks!” . . . Then I woke up.
