Who said love will die
A love poem by Colin John

Deep down you know this poem is for you,
from my heart of desire although out of view,
remember me on our travels from here to there,
my wasted chance! Only at you I did stare.

Here is a rose as red as my blood,
for you I would spill, for you are my love,
frequented like shadows, yet so close when apart,
now too late, yet I give you my heart.

My Juliet, as I shout quietly from below,
with foolish doubt when my mind said no,
never again will you walk my way,
yet I live in hope, that I might find you one day.
