Journey Complete!
My connection to you has just grown by leaps and bounds! I am Taurus and have a calling as a Lightworker by spirit not by trade. I love how beautifully you express "vibrations"?º????

The Air We Breathe
A good comparison in this one line poem Marilyn, between the air we breathe that sustains life and God - breathe deeply and feel.
cheers,

Orderly House, Orderly Mind
Marilyn, I like this rhyming poem entry. Each line compliments each other and reinforces the title - Orderly House, Orderly Mind. I appreciate its meaning and statement and the brevity in which it is expressed. Great job! ~DD

Hi DD. Thank you for your wonderful review of this piece. It's hard to get our bearings in lots of chaos. Meditation is a mind clearing event, so the rule is very true. Yesterday I cleaned my house. Marilyn

Joining The Joyful
Marilyn,

I'm so glad I've seen this. I know it's an old post, but perhaps there was a reason I ran across it...??? I was a Baptist all my growing-up years, and I, too, had lots and lots of issues and questions with what I saw and heard around me. I thought perhaps I just wasn't smart enough or spiritual enough to 'get it'. But then, when my hubs and I got married, I began to going to church services with him.

I changed my life - literally. *smile* I am now a member of the Lord's church. The only one we can see exemplified by the pattern set by the apostles in the New Testament. It is the church Jesus Christ Himself set in order and it alllll makes SENSE!

We are not an 'organized' religion -- all churches of Christ are independent of each other. The members of each church have complete authority over it, with a specific set of leaders, hopefully, as shown in the Bible. (Elders and deacons.)

All we teach is the Bible. Period. If someone tells you something, he must show you where he gets that info -- book, chapter and verse. If it proves to follow what we see pleased Christ in the first century, we know it's what He still wants us to be doing today.

The first true 'Christians' were 'created' (??) on the Day of Pentecost in Acts 2. After that, you can read how the church grew and developed from there. Read all of Acts and if you have questions, holler at me. I LOVE to talk about the Bible.

Every "Christian" religion in the world (as far as I can tell) are distortions of the Lord's true church. They have taken what they like from the Bible and added it to their doctrine and removed those things they found of no value.

It's soooo confusing! But, after being a member of this simple group of believers for about 25 years, I can honestly say I feel I know the Bible-- REALLY KNOW the Bible, I mean -- I understand it and I truly believe I have found the real answer for what God/Jesus want from us.

I hope you don't think I'm degrading your religion or anyone else's. I don't mean to. Even though I think I've found the 'right' way - it's still my job to figure things out and get to heaven. That's what we are alllll trying to do, right?

I do think that most all religions are very, very sincere, but too many of the followers are just following the teachings of previous generations rather than studying for themselves to see what the Bible teaches.

I may sound like a nut - sorry if I do. But I don't often get the chance to talk about this. I won't bug you about it, but if you are interested in more info, I can happily provide you with lots! By mail or over the phone, maybe?, or whatever.

Also - some people call the church of Christ a 'cult' - I was wary of it when I first heard of it and some of the teachings. But you have to see for yourself. Don't believe what anyone else says.

Thanks for listening. Good luck on your journey, my sweet friend!!

Hi Robyn. Thank you for your review of this poem and joyfully explaining what your faith means to you. I've explored non-denominational churches over the years and keep coming back to Catholicism. It's what I grew up with. My spiritual belief system is quite broad but all roads lead back to God. I find as I get older, the rituals (Catholic church has lots of them) are the most satisfying. It's continuity. In my humble opinion, I don't think God cares which religion leads us to him as long as it does. Hugs, Marilyn
