Your interpretation is spot on, and I appreciate you for everything that you write. Keep writing it! Please. You will make a difference. I know it! I think that making this equation to the film was genius. I remember thinking that people who make films are starting to have a conscious. They want to tell people to wake up and do what is right! I send you lots of writing encouragement to continue with this path of enlightening the readers in Fan Story. It is something that people need to continue to read. Me included. Cheers, Fonda

Thanks for your comment.
The interesting thing about a good written work ( incl film and drama) is that the obvious meaning hides a deeper meaning. Whether intended or not.
I did not see the film. Despite its acclaim, I avoided it because of the violence. That
being said, your interpretation seems valid to me. We connect with films based on our own experiences and understanding. The senseless killing and lack of remorse
line up with what's been happening with the natural world. I like the connection to Yeats as well. His words certainly ring true.
You had your say here and you make a good point. I know the film and it is extremely violent, unruly and full destruction which is the point you are making about what we are doing to the environment, I enjoyed your point of view here Richard, love Dolly x
I also love and respect wildlife - a lot of my poems are of nature and animals - I love going out adventuring exploring and taking pictures - luckily Im close to Shenandoah - waterfalls and so many animals to see - hopefully no one ever destroys such a beautiful park - thanks for sharing your poem - respectfully Ron
