Awe this was great! So sweet. I love how when I read it I knew the writer was an adolescent. I could even picture the dance in my mind and everything happening. Good job!

Another Year, No Less Memories
I have no words after reading this. This is the first time I've read it, so I'm nowhere near "tired" of it. In fact, it brought a lump to my throat and tears welling up...I can't imagine the pain you went through, the loss, the feeling of emptiness; just can't imagine it. 19 years, bloody heck. That's a long time to grieve, but grieve you always will. I hope no-one has ever told you that you should be "over it" by now. The loss of children is something I don't think anyone would get over, ever.

I'm so very sorry for your loss. Very sorry indeed. Your notes show that there is still light at the end of the tunnel, even if it is just a pinpoint. Bless your heart!

'Closure' was the word I came to hate. There is never closure no matter who anyone loses. Only one person on this site told me this was just a pity party and I blocked him after getting a two rating. LOL Thank you so much for the understanding reivew

Frality of The Old
Long Miss forgotten....
Abused and Refused...
Dumped into a Home for the Aged...
Turned Pages, wilted and brittle..
Little relief...
Non-fed, under medicated, expected to eventually be?
...
Ashes to Ashes and
Dust to Dust...
Do as they do...
Do as they must...
...
"Frailty of the Old'
Was well-written rich in Theme and Imagery.
It read well and flowed well with no Grammar Issues.
...
The Adjective and Objective Contents were both Excellent and Exceptional while Descriptive Measures aligned Perfectly.
Thanks,

A very well-written free verse poem about the older people who are left by the ones they cared for their whole lives to live alone without anyone coming by to see if they are okay.

A very well-written free verse Poem about the suffering of children by the hands of the people they trust the most. They don't know better and think it is normal the way they are treated.

There is a huge facade of 'caring' for the elderly. Asian families seem to
honor their aging parents, and care for them within the family unit. It's a huge dilemma, as nursing homes do not guarantee emotional care. I share your opinion that elderly die because of neglect, abuse, and not feeling wanted or valued. Well said,
Hugs, Trisha

Love your faithful prayer talking to the Father about the suffering of children in the world. I liked how you accept whatever His answer is and love your compassionate heart!

You are so right Barb, the elderly are neglected, they wait in nursing homes for people to visit, and no one does. They possess wisdom that the young will miss these days, beautifully written my friend, the Free verse is marvellous, blessings, Roy

Hi Barb, Yes getting old often does no favours to many, Yet there are some well cared for and loved and that is the way to go. Being active in mind and body helps keep old age at bay in many cases. But I can see the other side portrayed in you free verse the lonliness and abuse is often how some elderly are left to live out their remaining years. very sad. A good poem Barb Cheers Chris
