I hate that this is a true story. I am glad that you entered it in this contest, I am glad because you are here to enter it. I don't know if it is because it's true or because it is so well written, but this is an exceptional bit of prose. Thanks for sharing.

I dont do prose but use any avenue to reach others. I am stubborn that way. LOL Thank you so much. I just felt that my embarrassments are reasons to reach out

Well, Barb, it is said that personal testimony speaks loudest to like-hearts, and that is certainly true. This is a well-written and heartbreakingly honest account that speaks to your strength and to the strength of the intervention of the Lord in our lives... And, yes, what a wonderful man who truly takes his job seriously... and has a heart of his own. :) Thanx for sharing your heart - may it speak to others as well. :) Yvette

Still trying so hard to help others. I feel He taught me, not for me to hide my shame, but to witness. Thank you

WOW! You had me fooled thinking it's a little adventure seeking girl! I would say, Hurray for the nursing home escapee who loves to dance in the rain! Best wishes in the contest!

A very well-written story about a thunderous day and the joy of dancing in the rain even when there is lightning and thunder too. There is a safe way to be outside in a thunderstorm.

Good story, a bit on the narrative side for my taste. I like the way you went from sounding like a little girl doing something devious behind her parents back to the reveal at the end that you were experiencing a second childhood:) nice twist. The prompt was well met

Barb,

I love, love, love it! There is no way there could be a better entry in this contest than yours. I'd stake money on it if I was a betting person.

I loved the whole piece - it was written so well. You really do have a calling here - PLEASE LISTEN TO IT!

The ending was surprising and SUPERB. Loved it! (My last six!)

I am truly honored, my two fingers are very tired. I still like poetry better, you are just partial, silly. Thank you for making my day

You know I am far too honest for that nonsense. Write more prose!

This is excellent. Your story drew me in and held my interest. I love the twist at the end and the twin sister ends up with all of the money. You have created a clever story that flows smoothly and your main character is well developed.

A very well-written poem about the murderer's diary that reveals his intent to kill his wife for her money. He seems not to know his deceased wife has a twin that will seek revenge.

Really good story, I didn't guess twin sister, it was a nice twist. I like the fact that he was confessing to a crime to his psychiatrist, it made me think he was being set up by the new girlfriend or Anna, good job. Steve
