do you ever have the feeling you're repeating yourself lol. I guess people aren't quite able to see the chapter signs on the posting, or the fact that it says this is a book lol ;).

' A deep immortal kiss, the rarest sort,
Would bargain blood for life, and cheat the grave
By tempering the thirst, the greed, the sport,
With something less perverse: the will to save.'
-Oh I just love these lines, they are just absolutely immaculate! you are so the master, you do know that dont you?

I wanted to catch up with the last posted chapter quickly before I head off again, I'm really busy too just now darling. Soon as I get some time I will have another good session with your stuff, you know its one of my favourtite things to do. I hope you are well and have time to write soon, lots of love, D xxx

Preamble
Thi story has become completely riveting, I wish there was ten more chapters to read!

'For Death's cold robes will brush your vision black'
-I love this line completely, its astonishing.

'So we may greet the friendly dark, we two
Unholy ushers, taking bloody tithes,
As silhouettes that prowl the midnight blue
To harvest England's crop, with flashing scythes.'
-This part is so seductive, you almost want them to come and get you too. (well I do lol)

Seems like Maggie will make a formidable vampire, looking forward to finding out. Fantastic stuff once again my friend....

A Soul Already Gone
This is a riveting chapter, I really didn't expect this angle at all. I love the story here, how its almost their destiny to come together.

'Six siblings from their union, never whole,
Are rotting in a plot of rootless earth.
So understand, I freely gave my soul
As penance for the curses of my birth'
-I love this part, its so telling of Maggie's state of mind, as well as her reasoning for wanting Tristan to take her.

This is a brilliant chapter, I love the whole feel of this book so far....

Consequences
Oh this chapter, I'm breathless I cannot speak its so beautiful. I absolutely love this form as you know, and this is an exceptional example in every respect. I can't get enough of this one.

'A dubious remorse has dogged me thus,
For I've become a demon ripped from dreams,
But in the light of love; of hope; of us;
I've found the self-forgiveness that redeems '
-I really love this part (so much I want to swear lol), the second line here, oh my goodness thats amazing!

'Indifference to life brings easy death,
And our damnation pays for stolen breath'
-This closing part, well what can I say! Its so impacting and says so very much.

This chapter is breathtaking David, I am honestly blown away by how beautiful and dark it is....

The Edge of Immortality
I can't believe its taken me so long to get back to these, especially after the last chapter was such a cliffhanger. Damn that time it just runs away from me lol.

'The frothing tide of thirst, a crashing wave,
Collided with resolve and self-restraint--
Was I the puppet-master, or the slave
Of my incurable vampiric taint? '
-I love this opening. I think this is just the ultimate question for more or less everbody, you can really feel the struggle.

'But Maggie's face was calm, serenely sure,
A beacon of devotion, burning bright,
Instinctively impulsive and demure,
Though brave enough to beg the turning bite.'
-I love Maggie's devotion and I admire her certaintly very much!

This story is so beautiful and dark and seductive. I would dare anyone not to get completely drawn in by it, wonderful...

Hey David,

I know I'm jumping into the middle of this and shame on me, but it's very well worked.

I think this is such a great idea

Oh maggie you devil. Somehow I think she may yet regret it. Clever devil that you are, yourself, you'll keep us wondering. ;)

Well done.

I READ THE AUTHOR NOTES! :) The story is never sacrificed for the rhyme, nor is the rhyme and rhythm sacrificed for the story. I think that's quite an acheivement.

Nice. I remember the Vampire Sonnets from before. They are odd, but I like them very much. I'm a big Ann Rice fan and kinda live with my mind on the dark side.

Good writing,

Larry

Maggie is really enthralled now! As usual, I can't make any useful comments, but I wanted to see what I'd missed. I like the "unholy ushers" concept. That's really nasty.
