Once more, a lovely poem, both entertaining and educational. I really admire and appreciate all the research you put into your poetry. I hope we don't have any of these bugs around her!

I've never actually hard of this bug before, they sound like a combination of the leech (YUK) and the mosquito. Nicely done with your artwork and cascading repeat line,
cheers,
valda

A very well-written poem about the kissing bug who visited me a few times and if he did you surely notice the kiss the morning when you waking up. A kiss that last a few days.

What a horrible but very interesting insect. I do not know where it is that they call home, I just hope it is not anywhere near Tennessee. This is another excellent addition to your series. xo Janet

You've actually written a quatern, but didn't name, I'm sure you are aware of it though. This little creature doesn't sound very kind at all Dolly. This is supremely writte my friend. Beautifully rhymed, smooth as silk, well done, blessings Roy

Thanks for the warning and the informative pantoum poem! I am now even less open to camping out now. I like learning that they are attracted to the carbon dioxide.

Dolly,

Yuck!

But you do this tiny and very icky bug justice in your poem. I especially like the edited repeating line in the last stanza. *smile* Nicely done.

I have never seen one of these bugs and it's my hope that I never do. They sound horrible!

Thanks!

I don?t think they invade homes, I think you are likely to be bitten on a camping trip though, thank you for your review, love Dolly x

Dear Dolly, I guess you have a lot of info about bugs and insects. This little bug sounds like a vampire - sucking your blood! It's kind of a good sonnet for Halloween. Thanks for the history lesson on these bugs. Love, Donna

Here we have a quatern about a nasty little beastie, blood-sucker who goes for the face. Yuk! The description of its activities made me shudder. We are warned in the poem's first line reminded in the second and third lines in subsequent stanzas and told one last time in the final line with a slight twist to emphasize the point.
