This roundaful, Mayflies, has the proper formatting and tells the flies story from hatching to surviving in water for years. Trout love them and my own fake ones.

Your rondaful poem, using the Mayfly, is skillfully written and informative. I was fascinated with these little creatures in Wyoming but knew little about their anatomy. I often thought their wings looked like fairy wings. But the little buggers bite.

I have seen a lot of these harmless insects. They are an important part of the chain of life...one that does not sting or bite. It is sad that they do not have a long life. Thanks for sharing, Dolly! xo

A very well-written Rondaful poem about the Mayflies that are normally nearby water where they can survive inside the water for years until they submerged as adults that can fly.

This looks like a bit of a challenge in a form I had not heard of before. Here are some great physical details to describe Mayflies/shad flies: With buoyant flair, you'll see them dart and fly,
their seven pairs of gills and lightweight wing
will help them lay their eggs before my eyes . . .
It sounds as if these little insects have unusual features that other flies don't possess.

A very nicely crafted rondaful that gives us an informative reflection about the mayfly. I am not quite sure that I could identify these. We have an ephemeral insect like it and people call it a "mayfly" but after reading your poem, I don't think it is now. Thanks for the info and cute picture!

Will have to try the rondaful again. I really like the way it tells a story. Mayflies aren't found around here, but then neither are trout. I don't think they like salt water...

Dolly,

Yuu--uuck! *smile* We call these guys 'willow flies' -- though I'm not sure why.

There are times when we head to the beach only to discover the willow flies are out en masse. Ick. They get EVERYWHERE! You can barely go outside.

Thanks a bunch. Great image!

We have them when the month May comes
Thank you telling us that this pest Mayfly life is very brief
Thank you for sharing the format of the Rondaful.
