I am saddened by the news that koalas are endangered. Your story is a numerous tale from the koalas point of view. I hope they can be saved. I was unaware they became drunk on the leaves.

Thank you for reading and there will come a day they will be in a Zoo. Man's inhumanity to animals. Love, Kay.

Good luck in the contest Kace. This was a short one but rather informative. It was educational because I was not aware that Eucalyptus leaves can have such an affect on Koala bears. The picture was so cute. Well done and very much enjoyed.

Thank you so much for reading. Glad you enjoyed. Yes, it is their only source of food that does make them drunk. The oil in the leaves is readily combustible and the gum trees ignite when we are in fire season - we call them 'widow makers' so many have been killed when they fall. I know America has some of these native trees. Blessings, Kace XX

You are so welcome Kace, mm apparently these trees are in California which is burning right now, Hawaii which I have been to once years ago and Arizona but I didn't see any of these trees when I was there for 8 months, blessings.

Hello Kace, well done! This is a well written fifty words and, for me, informative. I did not know koalas are always drunk. LOL! Did you intend '
'Tourists break my alcoholic revere,' - or reverie?. Whatever - I enjoyed the read and wish you Good Luck in the contest. Warm regards - love Dorothy xx

G'day Dorothy, Many thanks for reading and picking up the word I meant to use 'reverie'. How are things going in lock down? Hope you are in a country area? At least you can go walking in the fresh air. Not long til Christmas. And I pray Trump gets pipped at the post. Love, Kace XX

What an adorable image, Aussie. I enjoyed reading and reviewing your contest entry. I like 'drunk as a skunk.' Your words flow smoothly with great imagery of this cute, but wild, bear.
Best wishes.
Respectfully, Jan

Thanks for reading my friend. Our national symbol, the Koala Bear is now a threatened species because man is cutting down their only source of food to build more houses! Gr. Love Kay xx

You are doing a good thing drawing attention to these darling, but endangered, creatures in your Dribble Flash Fiction entry. I still remember your outstanding posting about them following that terrible fire, Kay. They definitely are one of God's cutest creatures! Best wishes, my friend!

G'day my friend. Yes, their only source of food is being cut down for the building of houses. Endangered species. We lost so many last year in the bush fires. The 'Greenies' have managed to get protected areas for them where man can't build! Love Kay xx

G'day mate. I picked up the spelling of the word I really wanted to use. Unfortunately they are being wiped out. Last year the bush fires took thousands. Now, they are competing with the houses being whacked up willy-nilly. The Govt. has put in place 'protected species.'
It's only taken them 200 years since they landed from Britain and took so much from our aborigines and they actually killed and roasted the Koala. We (aboriginals) know how to care for the land. Oh, well too late now - the horse has bolted. Thank you so much for reading my friend and blessings, Kay xx
