You tell my tale. Much too often, I'm blank. Like, there's nothing upstairs. My life is a bungalow. One floor.
I enjoyed your poem very much. Your phrase, "return to me", caused the song by the same name to play in my head. Dean Martin, I think... yes!

Oh this is a fine metre about your muse who has taken off on a holiday. Have you tried tempting her with a delicious slice of three-cheese pizza? I find that sometimes works, and another thing that sometimes works is to pretend you are glad to be finally rid of your annoying little muse once and for all. Muses hate being ignored. ;-)

I often ask myself, do we need power to be a writer? My answer is no because there's dignity in writing, also writing gives us strength through our words. So in your own thinking, you absorb your own muse.

(Basic Skills that Writers Need. 1. Good Language Skills. To be a writer, you need to have good language skills. 2. Ability to Generate New Ideas. 3. Good Research Skills. 4. Thoroughness. 5. People Skills.)

I find that reading ignites my ability to meditate or think on different subjects. Musing will disappear while the mind is empty, but it can be rekindled with food for thought.
