Your poem has an encouraging, almost pleading, tone for harmony "to ease this nation's weather", where all can become one, united and free. it is expressed in a caring, personal way that is very engaging.

    This is a poem where I express my feelings as an American, but I'm Texano, not many care about my say. People just don't listen to my heart. I wonder if I write as Joseph Adams people would listen more?

    I shall have to research why you think Joseph Adams is someone you feel might be listened to more by others, as i don't know who he is.
    It saddens me that you feel your opinion is sidelined. I have no experience of prejudice here, but it is something my sense of justice instinctively feels indignant about.

    I've never understood why too many think pink is best... it's hardly white.
    I did google Joseph Adams and discovered he was a true person who was the manager for Ray Charles and he exploited his situation and ripped off Ray Charles's children's estate.

Of course, your poem spells the way things should be and we all hope and pray that that is how it will go. But, let us not fool ourselves. The factions that cause hate will not rest until things go their way. And, if they do, God help us.

This is an excellent entry for the Club Unity event. You have said a lot and I wish everyone would take it to heart and act accordingly. I guess the hands are supposed to represent a flag. They are unique.

Unity is what we need in our family, our society and our country. Unfortunately we live in a dictatorship governed country in the last 4 years. We have no hopes of unity but hatred and separation. The situation is not getting better but worse. Fortunately God has heard our prayers and effectively from January 21, 2021 things will be better. Hope is everywhere now.

I like this poem.
