No offense taken. I think our country suffered more in the last four years because other countries' leaders didn't feel safe sharing information with this man in command, especially with his close ties with Putin. We'll see what happens. I only hope for a unity and mutual respect in our crazy two party system. Thanks for the entertaining suite of limericks.

    I?m not sure all countries felt like that about Trump and he was wise to have close ties with Putin because we need to be allies with Russia against the bigger threat in the world right now. I think Trump was much cleverer than the Americans thought he was. As an outsider looking in, I thought Trump made America prosper, he was a strong leader and stood up for American and wanted to protect and nurture America. I agreed with his policies, work hard and you are rewarded. The downside was that he sent petty tweets and wasn?t very diplomatic, he was honest and told everyone how things really are, not many Presidents do that, thank you for your review Helen, love Dolly x

Don't apologize for writing the truth, Dolly. :) We have had many different presidents since we were a colony. Everyone was a man true to his word, but along comes a spider and it wants everyone and everything for itself. Thank you for a good Limerick and for sharing it with us.

I certainly hope and pray our economy continues to prosper, but when taxpayers are gong to have to foot the Bill for forgiven college loans and immigrants who break our laws entering our country illegally get free college, well I hope they have all the math figured out!

Cute, imaginative spectator. Might not be as imaginative as one thinks given some speculation as to what REALLY goes on up there on the moon!

I must say, though, that declaring that America is going to the dogs, is rather an audacious, not to mention, judgmental statement. America is a collective for sure. But also is an individuation, quantumly speaking. My passport says that I am American. And I'm not going to the dogs. So ....

Anyway, the last line may need some attention.

It will be interesting to see what happens this coming week :).

Here's to peaceful habitations and quiet dwelling places!

I love this sort of tribute to our democracy. It is nice to be able to smile about an otherwise grim situation. This poem is clever and delightful. You have a light touch.

Nice rhyme noted. I loved this poem, Dolly. I liked the way you started with the man in the moon, casually introduced Trump and finished with the man in the moon. It was a great creation. Well done.
