Well, I don't know, Dolly. Then again... maybe I should, still what if... I don't know. :) How indecision can make life incomplete. Just trying to... what am I doing? :) Playing the fool. Thank you for the pessimistic view of life.

This is so true. There are some people that will always see the dark side of everything. I know a few and I've learned to stear clear of them. Life's too
short to dwell on the bad things that "may" happen.
A well crafted Octet. Thanks for sharing.
Nancy

Your poem See joy or Rain written-- in Seasoned Octet
See joy or Rain. As I was reading your poem I found sad tears (which You called rain).
Its nice to see a new format.

Beautiful poem Dolly, I love how you put this together.
I love the wording how some people only see the negative and don't noicte the simple beauty in life. Be positive is the way :-)
Love the artwork too

A very well-written seasoned octet. Although a thunderstorm can be frightening and scary, the rain is always a blessing that comes down in showers from the heavens.

It's always a choice. And some prefer the melancholy, refuse to see hope or beauty, or things for which we can be truly thankful. You have expressed it well, and with a beautiful image to define the choice - do we see love and joy? Or rain? Another lovely poem, thoughtful and thought provoking.

Enjoyed your seasoned octet poem and it's a great message successfully conveyed in your most difficult form! I agree, some people are born pessimists and can't see the positive in life.

Great work with the seasoned octet. That's a lot of rhyme to get in, and you did it smoothly. Your right. A pessimistic attitude will get you nowhere. Some people see only gloom and doom. It does no good in the long run. "Rife" seems an incomplete thought, because it has me wondering "rife" with what?

You're welcome. I actually think much of the news is designed to make us feel pessimistic about what's happening. Maybe people should ration how much news they watch. judi

Yes, so true, Dolly. The Drowsy Downers can be most challenging to be around, and unless it's a psychological disorder, it's best to limit contact with only as much interaction that doesn't negatively affect one's own mood.

Excellent metre and rhyme and a fine read today. :)
