| You'd think the threat of contracting COVID would stop them from coming, but they seem determined. I don't see how a country can keep track of its population if there are no borders. How will we know who's coming in. Some of criminals. Are we supposed to accept them without checking them out? It's not surprising, though, that Biden is allowing this to happen. You mentioned several things we're grappling with in your poem. There's the censorship of those whose views don't agree with the majority party's, impose new taxes, and on and on. Some workers will be laid off because of the $15 an hour minimum wage, too. Great comments on the situation in your poem, and excellent sonnet form. judi

The problem with some illegal immigrants is that they are also undesirables, and America needs to protect itself, but some politicians care more about votes than they do about the people. The minimum wage is nonsense and will ensure the youngster don?t get the jobs on offer because why would you pay a young person, when you can hire someone with experience for the same money, crazy policies, thank you for your review Judi, love Dolly x

Thank you for this, my dear British friend. I'm afraid a far worse evil has been put into the White House. I cringe at what has been done just this week! Oh my dear, communism is here, as you said so well in this poem.
Yesterday, I read where Texas is suing the Biden administration for causing harm to the welfare of the state. I'm praying for all border states today and their governors. Biden is trying to change Texas' immigration laws and practices by memorandum, Dolly, usurping the state legislature. Communism if I've ever seen it. Yes, the ones that voted this goob into office, which was an illegal snatch in my opinion, have now made it they mission to destroy our sovereignty. I really don't know what these folks are thinking, I just know it's evil. An evil kiss....

Thank you for your review and your six stars Sally. I have seen communism close up when I visited Russia in 1976, it is not pretty and it starts with small moves until the force cannot be stopped. America is susceptible to communism because of its size and it has been a fear for years. We had a far left extremist called Jeremy Corbin who tried to win the nation over at the last election and his flimsy stance on Europe and his non-committal attitude meant he did not succeed. It would have been a disaster if he had won the election. I stuck my neck out for this write because I am so against communism. It strips people of their individuality and prevents then from become prosperous. I fear for America over the coming years as all the good Trump did for the country will be undone, it is a crying shame, I appreciate your words here Sally x x x

| Thanks for your concern, Dolly. That "wall" that the Trump administration was useless. They had already tunneled under it. A physical wall is not the solution. What needs to be done is work out an agreement with Mexico to have visas for people who want to work legally in the US. Then that would remove any need for illegal entrance - a big business. By the way, they are finding it much easier to go to Canada and enter that way. In addition, the Chinese are coming and having babies here and all babies born in the US are automatically US citizens. So we have so many other ways that people are coming here!

Thank you for your review Helen and explaining how people enter the US. I agree with you the wall is not the answer and negotiation is the best way and I had no idea they were not allowed visas to visit the US. When I met my sister in San Francisco for a holiday, she flew from Australia, I flew from the UK, I was closely questioned by officials both in the UK, on the plane and upon arrival as to what I was doing entering the US. In addition to that, they checked to see if I was in my seat on my return journey! I couldn?t believe the attention I received to make sure I did not stay. I expect not everyone receives the same attention. Perhaps it was because I took a large suitcase! Ha ha ha, love Dolly x

Hahaha! Well our daughter had the exact same treatment on her first trip to the UK. She brought a HUGE suitcase (even though she was told NOT to) then she implied she might want to stay longer and the customs officer gave her such a long lecture, she got separated from the rest of the students and had to find a taxi to her destination by herself!
