-Great artwork and
quote to go with it.
-I like your ideas about failure.
-You are very honest about
how you used to feel, and
these kinds of feelings are
probably felt by a lot of people
at one time or another in varying degrees.
-I like the transition at the end, showing
your new outlook with the qualities
that are important, and ending with the quote.
-It is well written. Good luck in the contest.
-One small suggestion: I would take this sentence,
You become afraid to try. and add it to the one
before it because they are on the same topic.
Then have the next sentences as the last ones
before your list of qualities.
The concept of success or failure, has to do with perception. When I was about 15, I gave up the notion of trying to impress people. Now, if I impress someone, it's an accident. Success or failure, is like lending someone a good deal of cash to get him or her out of trouble and then this person turns around and buys a new car. Was this person, lending money, a success or a failure? Best wishes.
Yes, failure can be so crippling if one remains in that frame of mind. I think most have experienced this. Many successful people failed before they succeeded ( Walt Disney, Colonel Sanders, Thomas Edison, Steve Jobs Oprah Winfrey, Henry Ford, Steven Spielberg).
I always loved the quote "If at first you don't succeed, try and try again".
