Thank you Joanne for:
A rhyming beautifully planned and presented poem on Prayer.
Your choice of art tells a story of its own. Very appropriate selection!
Your poem paints an excellent real account of what life is like today as we endure and live through this painful, unpredictable time of Covid19. With restrictions not condoned necessary by all.
We live today, in a world that will remember.
As I reflect upon your writing about Covid-2019, thoughts evolved of so many hurting people, some with out hope, depressed, not finding a reason or desire to continue life, not finding someone, somewhere to trust or care. Feeling alone!
As I read and reviewed "Prayer to God" recognition hit me that there is enormous possible potential of one finding purpose for life in discovering an unforeseen gift and talent that they have for writing and sharing.
This revelation has resulted in encouraging me from here on to focus on being more vigilant in promoting the work of caring, talented authors like yourself. Writing, poetry, novels or starting a diary, was revealed as an avenue, that could provide for someone, that source of light needed to regain hope and direction for life.
Reviewing and reading another's work, as I have discovered can also foster a desire in oneself to step-out of comfort zones in order to assist and encourage. At this time in history there are so many around our world, but could be as close as next door, who are enduring hardships and could benefit from wise, positive reassurance by sincere caring, compassionate, human beings. Yes! There is a future life, worth fighting for with desire for change. Miracles still happen today if we believe.
We who are believers are commissioned to unite in prayer, let us seek wise action, to assist however we can with the necessary re-building and healing. Truly our lives are in God's hand in His wisdom we can depend.
The sins of mankind only destroy. Past sacrifices for good have embraced freedom and will continue to defeat evil and hardships. Our prayers will get answered. Good will prevail.
You have recognized that we need spiritual intervention to aid survival. Prayer establishes hope. We require a positive loving, concerned behavior as a people, willing to work wisely together toward change. Exhibiting patience, in faith and trust while we await on a new unknown normalcy.
Your gift of poetry is providing what will become for future generations an invaluable, historical, documented report of events, true to this era of time.
Please forgive me for the length of my response it was not at the outset intended but the more I reviewed and re-read I was inspired to convey thought as I was compelled to pray for the needs you expressed.
Continue to write and share.
All the best. God bless!

Thank you so much for your review. Very much appreciated. COVID has affected so many people worldwide. I lost my sister during COVID she had cancer. Because of COVID we couldn?t attend her funeral 😕I saw her once for an hour the last 5 months of her life. I feel like there was no closure. I hope and pray things get better soon. Thank you again for your kind words.

Dear Mystery Writer,
I really, really like your message and I can't think of a single person who would disagree with you. *smile* Though I liked your post I have some notes for you, if you don't mind. You are welcome to hate them all. hahaha
1.) We pray(,) dear God(,) (Y)ou intervene and help this world in distress.
2.) So many lives (have) been lost by the deadly C(OVID) virus this past year.
3.) Loved ones are dying alone (and) it's just too much to (bear).
4.) Businesses and schools are closing down. We have community spread.
--> Sorry... what does that mean?? consider:
--> Businesses and schools are closing down. Some communities are almost dead.
5.) get a handle on this monster C(OVID)
--> This is actually an acronym - it's letters that stand for other words and that folks put together that spell a new word. They should really always be spelled with caps
6.) I'd also like to suggest you consider evening out the lines a bit so they are all about the same length?? Example:
***
We pray, dear God, You'll intervene
and help this world in distress.
This pandemic is taking its toll
and the world is in such a mess.
So many people have been lost
by deadly Covid this past year.
Loved ones dying all alone--
it's just too much to bear!
Schools and stores are closing down.
Communities are dead.
We must stay home to keep us safe
and we never get ahead
God, we hope this new vaccine
will handle monster COVID
so we can all be free again
and not live in constant dread!
***
These are just a few thoughts. Use what you like, if anything, and chuck the rest straight into the nearest trash! Thanks!
