Well done. The dialogue was entertaining even though there was nothing of note said. It was like something that didn't need to be said. It's what happens anyway so why tell him about it. LOL

Very well done in using dialogue only. A little dizzying in the dialogue of two in a dilemma on moving forward. Very clever writing.
Good luck in the contest.

I think that program has a lot to answer for. I can remember watching that very clever and creative series on the "Twilight zone", and yes cryptic characters like Duke, one never quite knows what's going one. Beautifully written Bill, blessings Roy

All I can say is I'm happy I do not have to share a conversation with Dave and Duke because I most definitely would be dizzy by the time we finished going around in circles and not saying a thing... Reminds me a dog that chases it's tail. Or my grandkids talking and I have no idea what they said... maybe I am living in the twilight zone. LOL

Smiles, Carol

BA, there is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to us. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of people's fears and the summit of their knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area which we call ... Listen, Dave.

Bill, I give you kudos for choosing the dialogue poem because it really is a challenging form that you have managed to excel in here. Duke and Dave seem to be at odds with how they describe their forward progress going forward and Duke says he doesn't want to waste time on superfluous rhetoric. Dave feels that he is in the twilight zone or taking too many enhancers. So Dave is to let Duke know his final decision when he knows one! :)

Hmm, interesting. I guess Duke and Dave are used to having meaningless conversations, perhaps to just pass the time. Maybe, they are in prison and talking to each other is all they have, so there is no escape from the nonsense.

Good entry. Good luck.

Hi, Bill,

I love this! Kinda reminds me of the old Abbott & Costello routine "Who's on First." You have to read this a few times to really appreciate it.

I especially like the "profound"philosophical mind of the boss. How do those guys get where they do and where do they buy their wash cloths?

Funny! What a truly remarkable bit of insight Duke had come up with that with no doubt enlighten Dave unless it make him think he is living in the twirlight zone, If something should change the premise that one day will continue to follow another then we should continue with that assumption anyway unless something changes. I'll try to remember that.

A scene right out of Eugene Ionesco, or some other advocate of the Theater of the Absurd. A conversation that chases its tail, but goes nowhere. Well done, Bill. Interesting.

Best of luck.

Peace, Lee
