It seems as if these people, former in-laws, are not very nice, but like the coach is thinking, we need to put a cap on this for now before it escalates. Thanks for your prayers; I feel much better now.

They are not very nice people. I'm glad you're feeling better. You continue to be in my prayers. Thank you for dropping by.

What a life of a widow with four kids. She might have to split with her new and hot boyfriend, a former NFL player in order to get full custody of her four sons.
I found your book interesting and will keep reading it.

I lived in Houston, TX in middle 80's.

Well done

You clearly master dialogue and language--this is something you excel at. Your dialogue is smooth and very nature, not forced at all. This makes it easier to read and relate to as it is not mechanical. I enjoyed the excerpt, but really appreciate the fine skill in dialogue. Thank you for sharing.

Goodness, what is going to happen next? Katherine's ex and his parents are sure the berries; some think about money, others think about the happiness of a family instead. Until the next chapter.....

It's so obvious that Katherine and Gabriel are in love but can't do anything about it until the in-laws and Frost has been dealt with. I can't imagine that the courts will take the children away from Katherine, she has too many people who will vouch for her being a great mum. Gabriel might have had a bit of a reputation in the past, but again, he has the school heads to vouch that he is not like that any more. He was a youth back then, doing what all young lads do. No, those in-laws need to be taught a lesson. The only thing they love is money and themselves, they haven't the slightest interest in their grandchildren. I'm so sorry I don't have a six left. I was just telling Ulla, I gave sixes out without realising. I'll make it up to you! This was a great chapter, Barbara, well done! Warm hugs. Sandra xxx

I'm not worried about the six, but thank you for the kind review. I have a feeling the in-laws will get what they deserve.

I love the relationship you've created with this family and Gabriel. The easy flowing dialogue is excellent, and the balance found in your characters continues to bring them to life. Great job!

This continues to intrigue me, Barbara. Nothing like a big crisis like this to bring a couple together, or tear them apart. I'm feeling it will be the former in this case, but they've got a tough road ahead. Well done.

I like the way you have brought things together in this chapter. The doubts about which direction to take eventually turn to a firm commitment, and it's good to see you bring Jordan into the equation. He could be a great support for his mother when Gabriel's not around.

Just one small thing to fix: "They don't even like us.<,) Why'd they do that?"

I thought this was a particularly good chapter.

Yes, just like real life. If things aren't already a mess, then something else will come along that's even worse than the current problems. But, thank the good Lord, if we hang tough, it usually gets better. At least for a while. Thanks for sharing.

I am hoping Katherine can hang in there. I think she's about ready to give up. LOL Of course, if she does my novel ends. Thank you for the kind review. Been missing your writing????

LOL. Thank goodness she won't give up and your novel won't end! What would I do. I don't post often, but a little more lately, like minutes ago. :-)

-This is a very good chapter, barbara.
-I never expected Katherine's in-laws
to sink this low.
-They sound like leeches who want
to get everything they can from
someone else and do nothing themselves.
-I wonder if Katherine's husband was the same way.
-It is good that Gabe has so many connections
that can help.
-I like the bond you are forming between
him, Katherine, and the boys.
-Jordan is very perceptive, and being
the oldest, he is going to make
sure his mom is taken care of.
-The plot is thickening, and
adding one more thing for
Katherine to worry about.
-It's a good thing she has
teaching and coaching
to keep her mind occupied.
-Well done.
